Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s when she started her acting career and became well-known for the character Tezaab, in which she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapooor. Then she appeared in the film Dil where she starred alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai, she was raised by middle class parents. As a child, she began to learn about age, she began to take dance lessons. When she was in her early years when she started acting as a young actress, most of the films that she made weren't successful. She eventually became one of the top actresses from Indian film. Her marriage led to an interruption in her career. She returned later. More recently she played an integral role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women in India. Dixit has been nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India is bestowed to Dixit. She is also recognized for her charity work.
