MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won a Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia came out as his collaborative effort with Noriel in 2020. Following that season, Dopamina became his second album. In 2021, he appeared as a duo TINI for her viral stream song Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was brought up in a musical environment, since both his mom and older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. When he was a kid playing the guitar ukulele as well as piano. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with a Cuban teacher and the end outcome of discovering his talents as a singer altered the course of his life.
